With Graduation right around the corner and upcoming seniors scheduling to have their portraits this summer and fall with us, I wanted to share a few ideas for senior pictures with different types of locations. We have been busy wrapping up the last few sessions before graduation, and have also been scouting new locations to add for the class of 2016!
With our Boutique Style Senior Portrait Experience, it is not just about pretty pictures you receive, it is about the entire experience that we are known for-from planning and customizing your session to the delivery of our heirloom quality products, and everything in between. We know that your senior year is such an important time for you and your family, we want to make sure you have the best senior portrait experience with us! Our main goal is capturing your personality, but there are other important factors such as wardrobe selections and locations that fit your style. No worries, we do talk about all of this (and much more during our consultation), as well as you receiving our Senior Welcome Packet which helps prepare you for your session.
The images below are to show a few ideas for your senior portrait session. We also have some seniors who want to incorporate a particular interest or hobby, for example-
Ansley, who barrel races, wanted to incorporate Bird, her barrel horse into her session. I thought that was an amazing idea, but she was unsure of what to wear. Clothing is also very important, as it can make or break a photo. Having the right type of clothing (and accessories and SHOES!) is essential. During our consultation, I asked Ansley if she wanted to wear something other than a pretty sundress. Although the sundress would have made a beautiful image, we decided to take her wardrobe a step further and incorporate tulle & leather. A leather moto jacket with tulle and a horse? ABSOLUTELY!!! The leather moto style jacket paired with the softness of the tulle skirt is an element that adds visual interest and contrast to the photo. We shot the image of Ansley and Bird on her family’s property.
I am pretty sure Bird likes the camera too!
For Nicole’s session she wanted to incorporate environmental elements into her portrait session, and these locations fit perfectly! The photo below was taken at a historic plantation, love the tones of green!
Her casual outfits below are perfect for the creek and trails. Love all of her outfit selections, we had a balanced amount of both casual and dressy for her senior portrait session.
This location below is not in the Atlanta area, but is another idea for a location for your senior session-a destination! Destination sessions are so much fun, my senior parents love them just as much as the seniors do! Since Johanna wanted a beach sessions for her destination, we photographed along 30-A and had the best time.
At the end of our session, there is no other way than to enjoy the sunset on the beach!
I hope you have found this information helpful, now is the time to start thinking about what you and your family want out of your senior portrait session with us. If you have not reserved your date with us for this summer or fall, please do not wait much longer, we only have a handful remaining for the rest of 2015.
